can a ramirezi live alone?

I have this problem....
My ramirezi female died some days ago. I don't know why...

I have a big aquarium 200 liters (almost 53 gallons), but I have also 7 kryptopterus vitreolus and 6 pangio. They all live peacefully together.

Could the male ramirezi be happy also without a female? Or Do they need to live in a couple always?

Or should I prepare another aquarium for a couple?
I prefer to avoid the reproduction if it's possibile...

I read that often the male ramirezi doesn't accept a female ramirezi ...
I don't want to return the ramirezi to the shop...
I love my ramirezi.
