Convict cichlid question

I wanted to know if anyone could tell me from experience if black convicts grow fast or slow...I have a single female in a 29 gallon tank with a pleco...I would say the convict is about 2 inches long right now

Well mine I got it in the summer at 1.5 in and now it is at 4 inches so they grow fastish.

you have other fish with your convict?

Yea I have a rubber lip Pleco, tiger barbs 3, red tailed shark, and the convicts which are breeding pairs

Mine are in a 36 gallon tank

I have 4 convicts with 2 JDs in a 55 gallon all get along good, but I have lots of rock caves so they all have their own territories. Also my convicts are growing pretty fast a couple inches in maybe 6 months some alittle faster than others

I like jd but it sucks that I can't put one in my tank being that its only a 29 gallon and jd get over a foot long
