Electric Blue sex?

Can anybody confirm if this is a male?

I'm not great with sexing that color morph but I would say a male.

I thought females have those black front edges on the pectoral fins. I also thought male's anal fin extends past the beginning of the tail. So, I think it's a female.

Those are some signs for sure. Although when I bred them, many of the offspring had traits of both sexes so I don't know how well it works anymore. The way I sexed my juvenile fish was mostly based on size.

I got lucky and had some Electrics cross breed several times with my GBR's.
Honestly, depending on what generation that Electric is, the only sure way is a steady hand and a magnifying glass due to long range inbreeding in some cases. Their great little fish, see if you can find a female GBR if he turns out to be a male, their courtships are awesome to watch
