Got these fry about a month ago from the Chicago cichlid Association and forgot what kind the guy told me they were.
Any idea?

Was hard getting pictures.

Man I hope it's the flavus thos are on my wishlist lol but I think its some kind of zebra he had a pic of the parents and they were colorful and had like a reddish top. I have 3 of em and there all kinda a different color.

Yea that is a really nice looking fish for sure. Even yours right now looks great. Can you try to get a better shot of the side of him? That may help a little but I'm pretty sure you got one of the fish from the wish list

If the parents had a red top to them then its not a Flavus or one of the Zebras. I believe Andrew is spot on with the Elongatus, its just a matter of figuring out what variant. Better profile pictures will help provide a positive ID.

Yea it's hard gettin pics of the little guys but it does look like flavus juvi, but like I told Andrew all 3 look different lol I know they wouldn't sell me hybrids there.

It could be a female chalosi << if I spelled that right

I believe the first pic is when there really colored, and the other I couldn't get a pic has like a blue tint were the stripes meet the the dorsal fin.

Now those look different then what you posted the first time. I have no clue right now, maybe once they get bigger.

This is why it's important to write down what they are and who you got them from so you can reference it later.

I do this with every online purchase or if I buy fish/plants from club members.

Yea that's the one I was talking about. The male gets the blue that you can see in the picture. The females are all yellow with the black.
