Hello, I was at my LFS and they had a bag of cichlid complete food on there counter that a customer gave them because it was out-dated (2007). Is this still usable?
Is old food ok to use?

Fish food starts losing its nutrient value after about a year, but doesn't really spoil. Pellets last longer than flake. Even so, I'd pass on 5 year old food and splurge for a new batch.
