I bought a pair of Kribensis, asked fro Male and Female. I think I got two males. The bigger one that is definitely Male chases and nips at the other all the time and his/her fins are getting ragged and stressed.

Also, if both are male, will adding a known female help the situation?

And last...will two males ever get along?

Here are a few pics:

The top 2 are the unknown and the bottom the Male. As you can see, the top ones fins are getting ragged.

And it could be stressed. Color is a horrible way to sex a fish. Also You can't judge size from a picture. IMO they look like two females. Neither has the spade tail of a male

You can absolutely sex certain fish by their coloration pelvichromis is one of those fish that lends its self to that, it's just not always 100% accurate. Sure you can guess size in a picture based on what's in the back ground, that's all it was a guess.

Now that I am not driving any more and can look closer, picture 1 is a female, can't be 100% on the 2nd fish need a better profile picture.

Second one is definitely a Male. Just a bad pic cause he would move every time I tried to get a good pic. The top fin is long and goes to a point. Just like the pic you posted.

Better pics? I took a few more...

Sorry the pics came out like that. They are not like that on my phone when I took and attached them...

Look like both males to me. I got 6 babies they are only like .5 inches hoping I get a pair. When they get older can they stay in my community tank? Or will the get aggressive ? These were a recommendation since I like rams.

Yeah if have to agree. Both males. I've had krib's my whole life and they are great fish. But females tend to be alot smaller and stockier. They also aside from the purplish belly and rounded fins will Usually have alot more yellow at the base of the dorsal fin.
