Hey guys thanks 
Also a slight update. My new Flavus has taken over as boss which is perfect As soon i saw his colours in the store i wanted him to show them in my tank which he is every now and then which im estatic about
Ill get some photos and post them
No plants yet havent been down to the store also this tank is in my room so im the only one that gets to enjoy it haha. Parents arent really interested in it hehe

cichlid tank
Hey Jason,
I'm in the process of building my Cichlid tank. You have a real nice set-up. Can I ask you where you got the rock? I'm going to try and use some of the rock I have around here. It looks like rounded river rock I boiled it and soaked it in salt. I'm going to get some peacocks also and a couple yellow electrics hope they all get along. I have a 55 gal tank.

My rock is from my creek and I didn't boil it or anything I simply soaked it in boiling water and waited for the water cool a bit and then scrubbed it like crazy haha. As for the fish they'll definitely get along have you considered other fish like rusty cichlids. These are great for beginners and are nice to look at.
