New 75 gallon cichlid tank

Hello all. I am new to cichlids and am looking for some stocking advice for a colorful and active cichlid tank. My tank is 48x18x24, and has a PH of around 8.0. I am using sand as the substraight and have dual rena cannister filters for filtration.

Colorful, active and high pH in a standard 75. Sounds like a recipe for mbuna to me.

Booo Mbuna! If you want rift lake my vote would be for Victorians, Centrals Also adapt to higher PH just fine.

If I was to go this route I would do Compressicep or Calvus But I know nothing about their needs or if they would work in a 75.
