Hi guys. Well im ready to put cichlids in my 3 foot tank. But im not sure which to buy. I like bright colours but not too keen on large fish. I prefer to keep several different species and colors. I want fish that dont grow more than 8cm. Any ideas?

You can't mix many different types in a 3ft imo. How many gallons is it? What type of Cichlids you wanting?

im not too sure which to keep, i like malawi species but i understand they can get quite large, 160 liters, so about 40 gallons i guess, not sure on the conversion

If your wanting colorful cichlids that don't get very big I would look into peacocks

Thanx. I went and saw my cichlid specialist today and came home with a electric yellow lab, a peacock which when mature will be red and blue and a marble zebra. All juvinile at rhis stage

By marble do you mean ob? Make sure it doesn't beat up on the peacock. And it sounds like you have a red peacock there.
