in the end i want to have the greatest, brightest, colorful peacocks i can possibly have. my question is how much of the parents color reflect on what the fry will look like. if 2 fire orange mate will all the babies be the same color. ive seen some really nice looking green/blue ones from time to time and was wondering if its just a dice roll on what the fry look like.

Female peacocks all look pretty much the same. If you are breeding then it is best to get a trio of the same type and anly have that variety in the tank. The males will then grow up to have the same colour as their dad.

Yes peacocks of different colours will breed and the fry will not have a predictable colour. Breeding different colour varieties is frowned upon. WHen you pass the fry on there is no way to tell what they will look like when grown and not way to tell what their fry will look like either.
