suggested floating plants for Malawi tank???

Wondering if anyone out there has a suggestion for floating plants in a Malawi tank that my fish won't eat and is easy to grow in low light.

It really depends on the species you are keeping. Water lettuce is a good one but only with certain fish from the lake. What are you keeping?

Java Fern may be? I once have a piece of java fern sucked into the filter, when I go about cleanning the canister filter, I found a java fern growth inside the filter, but I'm not sure about floating tho, but for java fern, you don't need to bury it's root in the gravel, so that some what count as floating as long as attached to something?
