Tanganyikan tropheus breeding

I've got a colony of 13 tropheus bulu point cichlids and I'm just wondering at what age do they start to breed? I've had them for about 4 months and I'm guessing that they're about 7-8 months old by now. They have been doing the mating dance thing that tropheus do for about a month now, is there anything I can do to improve their chances of successfully breeding with eachother??

Lower the water level for a week or so.Not too much just a little.When you foil the tank up again hopefully they will think the drought is over and start to breed.Has worked for me in the past.

Okay how much should I lower the water level by?

A couple of inches should do you.just enough so they know the water is low.
