What's the footprint (dimensions) of the tank?

Labs, maingano and afra would be the ones I'd choose.

Acei and red zebras will be pushing the size limitations for the tank. Rustys I hate with a passion cause the ones I had was mean as a snake. They also blend in with the decor being that they are brown.

Saulosi there is nothing wrong with doing but the afra and maingano will probably fulfill the blue spot so I picked the labs for the yellow.

92(L)55(D)41(H) in cm.

Them three seems the most likely tbh, is they any mbuna that are compatable which bring some red in colour?

ndumbi?

Those are really aggressive and need a bigger tank. In your size tank I'd stick with just 3 species

Thought a red yellow and blue tank would be nice but never mind, i think i will go with your suggestion andrew.

Thanks, for your help. Is they an order to stock the tank e.g. yellow labs first then maingano then acei? etc..

Here is my final aquascaping. All ready for the mbuna on Saturday :)

Just to warn you Mauna will dig under and around those rocks so they may fall

So i should be okay with what i have done then right? i have two foundation rocks then, the above, all balance on each other. The two foundation rocks are planted to the bottom. Aswell as the big one on the right resting on the glass.

Do mbuna do this for fun or spawning? or both?

They do it for both more or less just to drive us crazy. I would be worried that they will knock the top ones off.

Yeah I also think they're stacked a bit high, wouldn't want them falling and scratching/cracking the glass!!

So i should rearrange my rocks and make them more caves/tunnels on the sand. Tbh, i did aquascape for the way i thought looked good and not for the mbuna sake.

So out of my two aquascapes, you prefer my first one for them reasons?

I think it looks safer this way. I would change the background to a all black one. It will help show the fish better. I just use a black trash bag.

+1 , as I mentioned earlier I would make the background black :)

Here are my 4 yellow labs/canary labs, 4 yellow tail acei and 4 maingano. Beautiful colours and the breeder I purchased from is a top bloke. Wild caught and f1 fish. They is only three places which allow wild caught and he is one of them.

The aqua scape will be changed tomorrow as I have been working.

Thanks Andrew. So impressed with the breeder. Quality all round. Won't be going anywhere bit him for Malawi. Any chance you know how to make my tank whiter? As you can see my rocks are yellow aswell as the sand.. I have a Juwel T8 unit which comes standard with the tank.

What bulbs are in it you can try getting daylight 6,500k bulbs

Acei, maingano and yellow labs all f1 or wild caught :) new bulbs on the way. Rockery balanced and no risks.

Thinking of adding another species. My lfs/breeder has some F1 Maisoni juvies...
