Too much protein

How much is too much protein for cichlids? I feed NLS Thera A(36%) and Cichlid Formula(39%). I also feed NLS Optimum Flakes (49%). for Spirulina.

When I kept African cichlids specifically fish from Lake Tang and Malawi Haps I fed them different NLS formulas with out any digestion issues do to the food. Hukit may know a little better than I do but I'm pretty sure it's not about the % of protein but the amount of it that's actually digestible. As far as I know NLS is highly digestible, I feed Thera-A.

I feed mine Thera a and also spirulina flakes and they do great. Ill throw in a freeze dried brine shrimp cube as a treat about 1x a week and they love that too.

It's not necessarily the amount of protein but where the protein comes from..

Yeah I have never had a problem with NLS. So one told me that they should never get more than 40%... Ill just keep doing what I'm doing
