Using limestone in tank

Hi there guys I just bought this tank and I need some rock advice. I have a friend of mine that can get limestone for cheap and I was thinking about putting it In my 75 gallon. How much can I put in and how much would it affect my cichlids?

You shouldn't have any issues then, add all you want. Just keep in mind it will buffer the PH up.

As high as you feel comfortable going with it. Just be sure to leave swimming space.

I meant how high does it buffer the ph? My water is at 8.2

Oh haha! If your water is already at 8.2 it doesn't have allot of buffering capacity so I don't think it will rase it hardly at all.

Agreed, at 8.2 you wont see much of a increase if at all.
