Would a long 20gl be a good temporary tank for kribensis

If I found a pair of kribensis before I get the 55gl tank would a 30in long 20gl be a good temporary tank for them till I get the new tank. There are 5 female guppies in there now and it has been up for around 4 years.

IMO yes as its only temporary BUT you might have some frightened guppies if the Kribs want to breed. Kribs are cichlids and are aggressive during breeding.

That's good to know and I have a tank divider or a 10gl I could transfer the guppies too, but this is only if I find them before I get their tank

I kept and bred my Kribs in 24" long tanks so the 30" is not problem. It becomes an issue if you plan on keeping multiple generations or multiple spawns of the fish in that one tank. Then, it's too small. :nono:
Ditto to the others about the Guppies however. Not a good mix there.
