Your lights should be on 8-9 hours a day. You shouldn't need to have them on any longer than that.

Btw, awesome fish! I think i know what fish i'll be getting when i set my second tank up!

Nice fish.Yeah 8hrs is good enough if you have enough wattage. What type of lights do you have?

hmm... here's the description of the lighting... its a jbj nano cube deluxe.

2 24 Watt 50/50 CF Lamps + Remote Ballast, (2) Nite Vu LED Moonlights

so what is that? about 4 watts per gallon... or 5, since the lights are over the front of the tank and the back compartment holds about 2 gallons?

thanks... I actually find him more entertaining than the clown... especially since the clown hangs out in the back where I can't see him all day
