I currently have a 12 gal nano. the current lighting is:
1- 13w 50/50
1-ViaAqua 12in 2.7 watt Blue & White LED Light
1-ViaAqua 12 in 2.7 watt White light
1-
12" TrueLumen Pro LED Strip Light, Marine Fusion 12K White/453nm Actinic Blue

Is this enough for a maxi clam? The clam is 1 3/4 in. The tank is 21" L x 11-1/2" W x 17-1/2" H Any advice will help. The clam will need to stay in this tank for a year before moving to bigger tank.

Once a clam reaches over 3/4" it relies heavily on photosynthesis and water filtration for its food sources but mostly photosynthesis. I have a 12g too but have a current 70w Sunpod MH fixture. I think you should be able to get away with it but need to put the clam as close to the top as you can so it gets enough light.
