Hey guys,

Had 3 reef tanks in the past but recently got bit by the aquarium bug again after some traveling and snorkeling...gets me every time! Ordered my tank last week and is currently out for delivery so I should have to today to begin cycling!!! Over the weekend I began to prep for when I am able to begin adding corals with my DIY LED's! Never done LED's before so it will be a work in progress with color combinations but burned my eyeballs so it seemed good to me! 11 Royal Blue X-TE, 6 NW Cree X-PG2 and 2 Moonlights! I also started to make a hood fixture for the lights, but no pictures yet! Any recommendations for add-ons or DIY for the Nuvo 16 would be appreciated! Definitely plan on refugium in the back and depending on power upgrading the stock pump as I have read it is under powered.

Nice light! It's always a good feeling getting something built yourself, instead of buying it for much more :).

Any plans as far as stocking goes?

Thanks is definitely more rewarding!

Still up in the air...
Definitely getting 2 clowns
my choices I'm thinking about
Green banded goby
Shrimp goby pair.
Some type of wrasse

Inverts
Cleaner shrimp
Maybe sexy shrimp (last one I had picked my zoas to death)
CUC

Corals
Mostly softies
Torch frogspawn or hammer coral

Tank is up and no leaks (using temporary light until hood is done) , but LFS was closed so no sand or live rock...tomorrow starts the cycle!!ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1399339375.282018.jpg

Looks great, I love the rimless look!

Can't wait to see it with the led hood...

Finally got my first living creatures! Plenty of food for them as you can see I had a slight algae problem during my cycle!

4 Hermits
2 Margarita Snails
2 Nassarius Snails

A week or so and if numbers stay at 0 should be adding my first fish! :)

Light fixture finally finished and attached! Just have to clean up the wires! Added nuvo media reactor and the nuvo Ghost today! Tank is officially ready for all corals I toss in it! :)

So I had to get brine shrimp and wandered over to the frag tank...whoops! Came home with 4 frags!

So, I went and got a new coral and the tiniest little cleaner shrimp! I rescaped one of my rocks and the tiniest little fish I found on my sand bed...had my tank for a month and haven't seen him. Looks like a scooter but can anyone confirm? I guess I effed up his house. Never seen a fish hitchhiker! I went back and got him some live core pods because I couldn't catch him, he wouldn't come out of the cave!

I have no idea! I hope I can get him to eat unless he's been in my tank the whole time which I find hard to believe. I would think he woulda died by now. He's barely an inch long.

Not fat but not ribs either. If I can catch him I might try and try and trade him for something at my LFS if I can't I'll keep dropping live pods and see what I can do to keep him alive. Start him on live pods and try and get him to eat baby brine or something eventually.
