tank is on the stand with about 20 gallons in it. A 20 gallon long sump sits below. I will finish filling tomorrow, get the salt added, and add the sand in. I wish I could just throw everything from my currently running 20 gallon tall tank in and start adding new stuff lol this is gonna be hard

Once I get the water right can I start putting stuff in? Should it cycle? The 20 gallon is literally right next to the new 75.

The tank is about a third of the way full with about 20lbs of LR in and a powerhead. Hoping I wont have a cycle. Anyone? I will put some pics up in a few minutes.

Think it will cycle? I moved about half the live rock over to the new tank. It was out of the tank for only seconds. Still have no sand in the new tank yet I will be finishing the fill tomorrow.

i don't think so. in the past when i transferred one tank to another, all i saw afterward was a diatom bloom on the new surfaces.

So if it were you, did you, transfer fish over as soon as your new tank could support life?

yes, that's exactly what i did. on all upgrades, i moved over the rock as well as the fish, so i brought most of the bacteria from the old tank with the fish.

Can anyone suggest two more fish for me. Bright colors, I really want something blue like a blue devil damsel

"friends don't let friends buy damsels!"
They are mean and pick on your other fish

Your tank is large. Get a blue hippo tang

Dont they get like 14"

Yes they get large but it takes a while. You can get them very small like 3-4 in. My LFS will let you trade in your fish for a small one once it gets to big for your liking.

What about a coral beauty angle? They are beautiful! Lots of bluish purple. That's going to be my next fish.

I have thought about those, saw several snorkeling in cozumel. They are awesome
