yea he was acclimated...tank has been clear for a couple days now. Water tested fine tonight

no... not a lot to clean. I have about 20lbs live rock, but I dont want to worry about smashing things when I add more in the next couple days so Im leaving the CUC in the other tank for now.

I just wanted to get an ammonia source in there for the live rock

water still looks a little cloudy. How long should this take to clear?

I will flood this thread with pics when I get the half full broken down tank, that is sitting right in the way, out from in front of the tank. Should I just go ahead and put my other fish in the new tank along with all the rest of the LR. Im just terrified that it will cycle for some reason and I will loose fish.

cloudy water is most likely a bacteria boom. will last a few days

i would wait a bit before putting the rest of the fish in. let it run for a week or so first.

hope i dont regret this... adding the rest of the livestock and LR as I type.

The cloudiness seems to be sand dust on the glass. Ordered mag float cleaner today.

Tank is starting to take form. I still have some painting to do on some braces I added on the front. Anyone have a 48" T5HO light? lol

the chromis is freaking me out. As soon as I put the clown and gramma in he has been hiding in 1 spot and not coming out. I have no luck with chromis at all!!!

Mag 7 pump ordered late last night. I'm doing an open sump is there any kind of filter I can put on the end of the over flow pvc going into the sump? There is still some dust from the sand on the surface of the water. Also the chromis is starting to show his face a little more :)

Yes is it called a sock filter. It is like $10, will filter the water before it goes through the skimmer and remove micro bubbles. They are also reusable. I rinse mine out once every two weeks (depending how dirty it gets). Best thing to do is buy 2 of them, that way while you wash one you have a back up. Best way to wash them is in the washer with no soap and do a 3 cycle wash in cold water. Let it dry on its own.

Final Fish List (for now lol)
