I have to agree with Reefrunner. Aquascaping is obviously a very subjective matter, and everyone's taste will vary. However, there are a fes basic designs that seem to offer: stability, a natural look and good circulation. If I may humbly suggest, you may want to consider building a loose stack in front of where you have the filter intake. This will allow you to:

Hide the equipment
Create a structure that will have varying exposure to lighting, allowing differing bacteria to grow based on their particular lighting preferences.
Allow you to create some caves and overhangs
Allow you to offer some shelter for fish that likes to hang out at different levels in the tank
Create some open space in the middle of the tank for you to observe your fish and give them some open swim space
