I recently bought a beautiful birdsnest at my LFS. In less than two weeks white spots appeared and I was afraid that some necrosis had set in. The spots now look raised, and may actually be new nodes for more branches. Because there are so many, though, I am reticent to be so hopeful. Can anyone take a look at these pics to dissuade my fears?

Thanks!

Hopefully someone will answer I am curious because I haven't been able to keep pink birdsnest myself. I am getting ready to give it another try soon.

Probably new growth. If your calcium is high birds nest can grow amazingly quick. Mine grows every day.

If Mr X comes across this he will know for sure.

It is how it grows, looking good.Keep check on your calcium and alk levels.
If the whole stems were turning white then you have a problem.

Update: you guys are right. In less than a week i have at least 25 new branches forming. Pretty bad ***!

That is sick! I havent heard of other nests doing this!

I know, right? The nodes are growing way faster than I anticipated. Pretty exciting stuff.

Heck ya, say it doubles in a month! Whew that nice
