We are downsizing. We have a candy cane pistol shrimp in a 38 gallon. We have to rehome a yellow watchman goby/candy cane pistol shrimp pair - will 2 pistol shrimp get along ok in a 38 gal. aquarium?

the 2 shrimp will be fine in a 38g along with the goby just be sure not to overstock the 38g
what other stock are you planning on keeping

you wouldn't be over stocked all the inverts would have a very small bio load
zoa's pallys and corals don't effect bio load , and fish would be fine .
when your ready to transfer I would add new sand ,other than that transfer over rock and zoa's pallys coral ect , than all the inverts you can find the 2 candy cane pistols will probably be the hardest to rally up as they'll bury them self's

if using the existing rock you most likely wont see a cycle maybe a slight swing but that should level out by the next day
