center brace broke on my 55.

Hey again,

The brace broke on my 55. I'm not sure what to do.

I was cleaning the glass and notice something wrong. the tank was bowing and the center brace had broke. Its all there. its just the front part that has detached. The tank was manufactured in 1990. The tank was getting old and thats why i bought the replacement tank. i didn't know the tank had this little of time left.

you may be able to repair the tank yourself, or even just order a new bottom hold thing

You can get a new top frame, and replace the existing one, or you can silicone in a piece of glass to replace the broken plastic.

FRF- I've been following your posts lately and you seem to have had pretty nasty luck with your tanks as of late (the Ebay tank, and all)! Hope things start workin' out for you soon! I found a 55 gal frame, here's the link; it's cheap IMO:

You`ll need that. It looks pretty good and nice deal. You`ll need to hurry and get it on as your tank though as soon as possible.

I agree, you should brace it while you wait for the new top! Use a clamp or something.
