i want to reuse a plastic castle which i used in a qt in my reef, as my fish love it. will a good scrub get rid of old copper, what shall i do can i reuse it in the reef or shall i get a new 1

new one would be the safest method. the castle will asorbe Copper into it. and it collects in the cracks and crevaces. I wouldn't trust using it in a display tank.

I would suggest getting a new one. It really depends on the type of copper used. Plastics will absorb copper in general. Polyfilters are amazing at removing copper from items but you'll probabley spend the same on the filter you would on the ornament.

Cheers
Steve
