Display tank + frag tank= one sump?

So I got a 30 gallon cube drilled frag tank and I want to put a sand bed, macro algea (under frag racks and probably a six line, would that work as a refuge as well?

Also have a 55 mixed reef (dt) not drilled that I'm adding a sump to probably going to use a 24 gallon sump, so my question would it be ok if the dt and frag tank refugium both ran to the sump?
