Fix light or buy a new one

I have a light on my 55g that just had a ballast go out. The light is a marineland pro MH x 2 @ 250w and CF x 4 @ 65w. I was thinking of replacing it because it is over kill for this small tank(760w total). What light would you get or would you keep this one? All opinions welcome.

In part, it really depends on what you are trying to grow in the tank. For some types of coral that light would be alright, although I would imagine you are having some heat issues unless you're running a chiller.
