I am guessing that 0 phosphates mean nothing to bubble algae? I have an eruption of it in my tank and no phophates to speak of.????

Bubble algae is excatly that...algae. So everything that feeds normal algae will feed bubble algae. That being said, low trates, silicates, and po4 will go a long way to controlling it, but.....will not wipe it out. The best way I have found to remove it is to physically remove it by hand. Have someone standing by with a syphon that is primed and ready to go. If you break one, just suck out the water for a few seconds around the area when the bubble was broken.
