Green star polyps question

My green star polyp doesn't open up? Why? Everything else's doing fine in the tank. Ever since I got them only like few come out at a time. I've had it for about a month now. When I saw it at the LFS they were open.

They like gentle flow not directional flow... where are they placed in the tank? Try moving them if they are in bright light move them to a darker area or viceversa. GSP is crazy hardy so just give it time once it takes hold you will be off to the races

also every once in a while they will close up for a week or two the reason is unkown

Can they be dead? Any way of knowing? It's been more then a month I guess they are closed.. Just few pop out every now and then..
Ahhh can't wait it will look so nice once they open...

They disintegrate when they die into nothing ness give em time or try moving them
