I bought a coral with hair algue, and now it's starting to spread :/ what can I do? I just got a media reactor. So hope that helps :/

The only way that it can spread and grow is if it has something to feed off of. What are your current parameters? I'd suspect some nitrate/phosphate if hair algae is starting to creep up.

It was reading 0 last week, I bought a coral with it on, I think it came from that :/ would it be ok to use a tooth brush to clean off the rocks? Or is that not a good idea? I just want to stop it be for it gets out of control :/

Yes that can be done. I used to rubber band a toothbrush to a siphon hose and scrub the rock while drawing water outduring a pwc. This would suck out all the algae after I scrubed it off.
