So I noticed my externally ran protein skimmer was only pouring a trickle of water into my sump. I had been thinking I need to clean the pump but whoa when I disconnected the 3/4" hose from the pump it was almost completely clogged by a hermit crab shell. I had three hermits in my fuge six to eight months ago and I guess one crawled through the baffle to the inlet side of my sump and got sucked up. Glad I run two skimmers lol.
