How long do you QT?

How long do you QT your new fish if all looks well with them?

I did 2 -3 weeks depending on the hardiness of the fish.

New additions should be QT'ed for at least four weeks, preferably six. HTH

I think most would agree 4-6 weeks, but some say longer. Really depends, but I have seen some develop problems around the 3 week mark. There is a method called the three day transfer method that you can use to break the cycle in 12 days.

I read up on the "three day transfer method ". That would have to be extremely hard on a fish. Still would not guarantee success, and is a ton of work.

I agree. I prefer to monitor the fish for 6 weeks, assuming it's healthy, over proactive treatments that will induce more stress than necessary on the fish.
