I have brown algae too?

Hey, my 55 is 5 months old. I don't have all my LR yet. A brown film about 1 mm or less is on the sand at each end of the tank where the water is calmer. I think it is waste from the fish, any ideas how to get rid of it? I moved it around to see what it was like, and it clumped up when I ran my finger through the sand. Thanks for any help!

It is Diatoms.. What are you using for top off water.. You could also check around I know there are some iverts that eat diatoms..
