Is my light burnt out?

When my 10,000K PC lamp turns on, I see a flash of yellow at the base of the lamp, but it doesn't fire up. It's only 3 months old and looks okay physically (no charring), thought it could possibly be the ballast?

Sounds like the ballast is shot .

I agree, may be a ballast problem. I would discontinue use immediately and contact the manufacture.

If you have another lamp lying around, try it to eliminate that as a cause of the failure. Sounds like the ballast is shot to me too...Good luck.

ah, why didn't i think of that? i'll try switching the actinic and 10,000k.

edit: definitely the bulb.
