I have found that more than 3 drops of water placed on the glass doesn't really impact it when you put a little pressure on the cover to seat it.
I have the Milwaukee brand and it is very consistent. Your post reminded me that it was time recalibrate mine, thanks.

Hmmm...So you are saying to try using more water and pressing down on the cover some?
