Is sand dust damaging to fish/gills?

I am wondering...when I re-aquascape and dust goes everywhere, am I harming my fish? Or inhibiting thier breathing ability?

I`m sure it`s not the best of conditions but I dont think that alone will harm them . Better to be worried with ammonia and nitrites which we know will harm them.

I agree, in nature, they are subjected to various sandstorms.

Speaking of sand storms, I caused a huge on today. I built a PVC aquascaping rock holder today and put it in my tank and will have to wait till tomorrow to do anymore work on it.
