Kole & Sailfin

I have to find my Kole tang a new home because my yellow tang said so.

I found someone with a 125 reef and a Sailfin as the only tang. What do you guys think? Are sailfins aggressive?

The yellow will be even more aggressive to the Saigon because they are both in the zebrasoma genus.

My Sailfin has spent 3 weeks in solitary for being the bully. If you have a QT or other tank you can isolate your Yellow. You may find they will get along better after reestablishing the pecking order.


IMO with FW fish, if you rearrange the tank at lights out, the fish will be disorientated and start the pecking order all over again. Not with SW fish. They seem to a different memory system and can remember other fishes even in different surroundings.

I have the Kole in QT. Been there for 2 weeks now. It's the Kole who's getting a new home but I'm concerned with the sailfin of the new potential owner.
