Miracle Mud

Do any of you guys use it? What is your experiance with it?

I intend to put this in my refugium, it sounds like it will add lots of nutrients and trace elements as well as provide a good place for pods. However, when I went to the LFS today they had two products, Miracle Mud and Mineral Mud. The Mineral Mudd said it was for refugiums, while the Miracle Mud read like it was for display tanks. I was confused because I am pretty sure some of you put miracle mud in your refugium.

I have it im my fuge but if I had to do it all over again I would not have used it. I really dont see any good that it did.

What would you replace it with, regular sand?

Sand will work just fine.

the sump i will be getting in the mail comes with this mud, did you rinse it before you used it? i think that helps prevent cloudy water but washes away what you want in it. im going to be placing whats left of my macro algae in this mud. or at least i plan to unless you advise not too. i pretty much already paid for it since it came w/ the sump pack that i got.
