New Tank

Hey everyone! I guess you could say I'm the new guy on the block. I have a 75g bow front with a wet/dry filter, skimmer, PC ect.. I haven't set the tank up yet other then to test for leaks. I have read and reread everything I can get my hands on about setting up a reef tank, the one thing that I keep seeing is the Sump/refugium. It seems to me that most serious reef keepers us a refugium/sump as their main if not their only source of filtration (not counting the skimmer). I'm all for the natural filtration method!! What I was trying to find out is WHERE TO GET ACRYLITE FF to make my own refugium/sump. The cost of buying one is just silly. Any help would be great!! I'm in Virginia.

I have seen large sheets of acrylic in Lowe's. I would imagine that Home Depot or any similar type of store will also carry it. Welcome to Aquarium Advice, and good luck!

29 glass tanks at walmart are pretty cheap and can easily be modified into a sump/fuge.

A 29 gal (30 1/4 x 12 1/2 x 18 3/4) should easily fit in a 75 stand (48 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 21 3/8 ) Just make sure it can fit past the center bracket. If not you may be able to get it through the bottom of the stand before adding the tank/water.
