I was wondering if I should put the aerators on the powerhead? I have a skimmer and sump wet/dry.. do I need the aeration?

Actually, the micro bubbles produced will aggitate any coral and some species. You shouldn't need it.

aim the powerheads directly at each other (from opposite ends of the tank) and point them slightly upward. that'll create good turbulence, and agitate teh water surface for gas exchange to occur.
