Protein Skimmer Problem Please Help!!!

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and new to the hobby as well.

Alright here's the deal. I have a 75 gallon reef tank, that I am using a Berlin Red Sea H.O. Turbo Protein Skimmer. I've had the tank running for 4 weeks now. Everything is running smoothly except, the skimmer will occasionally (about once a week, and always at night when I'm sleeping!!!!) have a burst of bubble creation and overflow!

The only supplements I'm adding is B-Ionic calcium and alkalinity every morning. Any help will greatly be appreciated. I'm really worried about the skimmer damaging my carpet, floor, or the possibility of anything electrical.

Welcome to AA. I'm sorry I don't konw anything about the berlin unit. Someone here will be able to help you.

You could try mounting an overflow tube at the top of your collection cup, back into the tank.
