Purple stuff

Have this purple stuff on one side of a rock and it is spreading across the sand bed. I'll get a picture later but what is it and how can I get ride of it? Thank you in advance!

yep thats cyanobacteria

Yea it's cyano. Remove as much as possible and cut your light schedule by half. Feed less and it should go away

Yes it can. But it won't do damage unless it's alot

Don't rely on animals to hide/eat it. You gotta address the source and fix that.
