Hi there. I have a 46 gallon Acrylic Aquarium and there really is no room in the pre cut out spots on the back of the tank for a filter and skimmer. I use the Aqua clear to run carbon & Chemi-Pur Elite. I have a DSB that I bought that has been seeded with micro and macro-organisms. Also I am going to be using AquaBella Bio Additive. I have 70 pounds of live sand and 60 pounds of live rock. I want to keep a pair of clowns, Hermits, Snails and some Xenia. Do I really need the skimmer if I keep up with water changes and use a DSB? Thanks alot. :thanks:

You wont need a skimmer with that small of a bio load just be sure to test your water and change it out when needed (weekly) I ran a 90 gl without a skimmer for years without one and my nitrAtes never got over 10ppm
