So my tank is almost a year old, and my params are extremely stable, coralline is booming everywhere, and I probably have about 2lbs of rock per gal.

The tank is 10 gal.....would it be safe to go filterless.....I have a skilter 250(dont worry, I have it modded with a limewood airstone, it skims good) which I would use a fuge and skimmer, but I plan to upgrade to a red sea prizim skimmer, and have no filter media at all.....good idea?

Im pizzed...I just figured out I cant do it with the skilter....to many bubbles will get into my main without the filter to block them....so I am just going to order a red sea prizm.

Yes, just a skilter and a rio 90 PH....trust me it gets pleanty of flow.

I cant wait to get that dang nitrate factory out of my tank.

Can you remoe the sponges/bioballs? Possibly cover the in/outputs with pantyhose or something like that to stop the bubbles?

with the skilter you can just change out the media every week, I find it helps alot. I just use polyester. works great and cheaper then you would think.
