I have decided to use the quikqrete sand for my yard and got my hubby back on the road for Southdown sand but my Home Depot didnt have it. Is that the name on the bag or do I need to look for small print??

You want OLD CASTLE or YARDRIGHT. Southdown was an older name.

You'll find that OLD CASTLE is in the same bag as southdown, without the southdown across the top. Other than that it is identical. I am sure there are other good sands as well and probably regional specific. Look for tropical sand that claim things like "silica free" "carribean" "sterilized". And of course look for a good color and small grain size.
