Tomini Tang Sand Sifting?

Hey all,

I just got a Tomini Tang a few days back and although I can find nothing of it on the internet, I have glanced him sifting sand a few times (At least I think).

I don't have any other tankmates that would do this.

He may be eating algae off the sandbed

Are you sure he is sifting the sand and not showing signs of flashing...aka ich?

Mine will also on occassion peck at the sand, but he is going after algae and/or food.
