What secondary media is in YOUR Emporer 400?

My tank is 100% equipment wise...
emperor 400
2 Maxi Jet 1200's
200 Watt Ebo Jager heater
Coral Life 265 watt light !
Gonna have 55 pounds of live sand and 90 pounds of rock from liverocks.com..
It will house for now, some chromis for @ least 3 months untill everything is happy. Then a clown or 2 then maybe a carpet for the clown to play with... Nothing too big or exotic.. Of course, a starfish and snails and a crab or 3

What secondary media do you put in your grey filter packs?

Renew???
Purigen???
HyperSorb???
Just more Carbon?

I like the idea of reusing the Purigen and Hypersorb?

Any ideas or suggestions ???
Thanks !

Once you have this, remove the bioballs and the "prefab" filter. Use a high quality carbon in the gray trays when necessary, or 24/7 but change it weekly. The rck and sand will biologically filter your water, you might also consider a skimmer.

I use Seachem's SeaGel (blend of Matrix carbon and Phosguard) and Purigen. Does it help? Who knows...

lose the bio wheels and then just put on a skimmer?
