20 gallon community stocking

It is an established 20 gallon tank that currently has a tiny school of zebra danios. I'm hoping to add more danios and some otos, but still looking for more suggestions on what to add. Any ideas are appreciated, including favorite plants.

Hard to go wrong with java moss, java fern and jungle vals for plants!

Dwarf loaches, kuhli loaches, maybe some botia striata would be good I also like corydoras and glowlight tetras.

My loaches were very aggresive and inactive, i don't know. You can't go wrong with cardinal or neon tetras. I like assorted guppies, too.

I would really love to get cories, but the substrate is gravel...

My loaches were very aggresive and inactive, i don't know. You can't go wrong with cardinal or neon tetras. I like assorted guppies, too.

Loach aggression varies from species to species and is almost never an issue in peaceful species if you have enough individuals in your school. Dwarf loaches have never caused any issues in my tanks.

Bolivian rams would be nice.

Remember to have at least 6 otos and 6 danios in a school/shoal.
I would get a rainbow cichlid, and/or a dwarf gourami.

They are found in groups of hundreds in the wild, if you are telling me that they are fine in groups of 4 or less I would have to vehemently, but respectfully, disagree.

That's pretty much exactly what I'm saying.. 4 is just fine.. better yet? No otos unless you want otos..
