If your looking for something in the pike family try a chain pickerel or grass pickerel. A northern pike would be a little much for even a 300+gal tank. They can get huge. Add in the fact that they're ambush predators and highly territorial, imo none of your other stock would be safe.
Don't get me wrong, as a juvenile it'd be fine but longterm? Look out! Lol.

+1 on using multiple FX5s on your tank. I have 2 on my 340 gallon African Tank and they're great.
